Capturing the calm of the sea through vision and sound

My name is Guzmán Camacho and my passion is photographing the sea. What you see here is not the result of large productions or elaborate setups; I choose to capture each image with my mobile phone because it is the light and direct tool that allows me to move with complete freedom as I walk along the coast. For me, mobile photography perfectly aligns with my way of seeing: it provides the necessary immediacy to immortalize the exact moment in which the landscape expresses itself.

My way of working is based on two very simple things: observing and being patient. I focus on capturing those fleeting moments that never happen again: an unexpected reflection on the sand, the texture of wet rock, or the movement of a wave under a special light.

Fotografiando el Mar was born from the idea of taking all these photos out of the digital world of screens and bringing them into the physical realm. I wanted to turn those moments of tranquility into something you could touch and use every day, bringing my calendars and notebooks to life.

But the project doesn’t stop at paper. To create a more complete experience, in several of my locations I stop to record the real sound of the sea and combine it with instrumental melodies that match the atmosphere of the place. That way, through the products, you don’t just see the image, but you can also listen to the sea and transport yourself for a moment to the shore.

These are not just items for organizing your day or jotting down ideas; they are objects designed to pause, breathe, and keep the calm and strength of our coastlines close. I invite you to stop, listen, and connect with the serenity of our sea.
